Less than a year after the opening of the first London store, the Farm Boy food chain is opening a second outlet in Masonville.

The Masonville Farm Boy will open on March 12 in renovated space at Fanshawe Park Place Mall.

The new 24,000-square-foot store, the 16th location in Ontario for the Ottawa-based chain that was founded in in 1981, will create about 140 full and part-time jobs.

The first London store opened in renovated space on Wellington Rd. S. last June.

A third Farm Boy is scheduled to open in May in a newly-constructed building on Wonderland Rd. N.

Farm Boy specializes in fresh and prepared food from local sources.
